  1. Optimize your SEO: In order to rank higher, you need good SEO. You want to rank higher, eventually on the first page on Google, because that will generate organic traffic, which is the best form of traffic that you can get. So, you need to optimize your On-Page SEO with all its technical factors.
  2. Get backlinks: This is one of the most important traffic sources and also one of the most important ranking factors in Google. BUT, you must get traffic from trusted sources and NEVER pay for traffic, because if Google finds out, you will be penalised.
  3. A great way to get backlinks and to get more traffic is through Guest Posting. What this means is that you write an article for someone bigger than you in your niche, and if they decide to post it, they will also mention your bio and a link that gets back to your website.
  4. Paid traffic (also known as Pay-per-Click Campaigns) is another way of generating massive amounts of traffic, depending on your budget. You can pay for traffic on Google AdWords, or you can pay for ads on social media, like Facebook. Your results depend on how well you optimize your campaigns and, obviously, on how much money you are willing to invest.
  5. Posting comments on other blogs: This is a great way to build relationships between you and other bloggers. Though, you do not want to give spam comments that simply say “Great article” then insert your link. Insted, try reading the entire article and actually contribute to the conversation, give your opinion or even disagree with the writer.
  6. Start building your email list from day 1: This is crucial to get more traffic. You don’t have to email your subscribers every day. You can simply send them a weekly email where you notify them about what new articles you have posted on your website or different offers etc.
  7. Use social media: You must never ignore the power of social media. Have an account on at least one platform, like Google, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest etc.
